Te Atatu Fire Station
Bindon Construction were engaged as the main contractor to build this $3M state of the art facility in Te Atatu. CEO Ross Bindon says ‘you will not find a better standard of workmanship and outstanding quality anywhere.’ The new hub for the west Auckland Fire Service is located right off the north western motorway on Te Atatu Road. The new station is part of an Auckland wide initiative to enhance response times which required the introduction of new technology and modern facilities including digital callout location screens and traffic light control. This purpose built station has accommodation for six on site firemen on 24/7 attendance. Other facilities include lounge/volunteer training rooms, full kitchen, offices, gymnasium, locker rooms, lighting appliance garage and twin appliance bay.
